Pricing, Shipping & Returns Policy


Pricing Policy

Products sold in our Store are specially selected, or manufactured, by Merchants of Green Coffee to deliver the perfect cup of coffee. Our beans meet strict quality of taste and sustainability criteria. Our roasters, grinders and brewers are made from quality materials, designed to perform and adhere to the 'Three Keys to Quality Coffee' (see All About Coffee).

We strive to offer the best prices possible while adhering to the principles of "triple bottom line" accounting - putting equal weight on the economic, social and environmental components of trade - profit, fair trade, and environmental responsibility. Shipping is charged at cost. No excessive packaging is used. We recycle as much as possible. We invest profits back into our supply chain (see Sustainable Coffee Program).

Shipping Policy

Merchants of Green Coffee ("MGC") ships from Toronto, Canada. All products ship via Canada Post. Purchaser is always required to choose preferred delivery service (standard, next day, etc.). Shipping rates are calculated at the time an order is placed. Shipping costs will be available for review and acceptance prior to placing an order.

Returns Policy

MGC accepts returns for refund, exchange or store credit as specified below:

  1. Green Beans
    • No refund, exchange or store credit.


  2. All Other Products
    • Refund: Within ten (10) days of purchase with e-mail receipt. Item must be 'un-used' and returned in its original packaging. Return item, a copy of the receipt with date of purchase, and a request in writing to refund your purchase.
    • Exchange or Store Credit: Within thirty (30) days of purchase with e-mail receipt. Item must be 'un-used' and returned in its original packaging. Return item, a copy of the receipt with date of purchase, and a request in writing for 'exchange' or 'store credit'.
    • Warranty: Manufacturers Warranty applies on all 'Other' products sold by Merchants of Green Coffee. Purchasers must seek remedy directly from the Manufacturer unless it is a FreshRoast Plus.

      As of January 2006, Merchants of Green Coffee will handle all warranty related matters for all FreshRoast Plus coffee roasters sold in Canada. The FreshRoast Plus carries the following Limited Manufacturer's Warranty:
      • Base Unit - 1 year warranty period - unit will be replaced if returned within 30 days of purchase by customer and repaired if returned after 30 days of purchase by customer.
      • Top Lid, Basket and Roast Chamber - 6 month warranty period - unit(s) will be replaced if returned within 30 days of purchase by customer and repaired if returned after 30 days of purchase by customer.
      • Warranty returns will only be accepted with original sales receipt.

Important Note: Customers are responsible for shipping any and all product(s) back to MGC. Any product being returned, regardless of shipping company used, must be 'paid for' by the customer and 'signed for' by MGC at the time of delivery.
